The Department of Geology orchestrated a visit to Crescent Old Age Home in Kalakurissi, Palakkad, on December 24, 2022, as part of the Community University Social Service Program (CUSSP). In a heartening display of compassion, the department's students initiated a fund collection drive with the noble intent of contributing to the well-being of the home's inhabitants. The fundraising effort garnered a total of ?22,000, with ?5,175 collected from students across various departments and the remaining amount contributed by students specifically from the Geology department. This visit not only exemplified the department's commitment to community service but also showcased the collective generosity of the students, underscoring their dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
