The UDID card registration event, organized by the NSS 240 unit of Assabah Arts and Science College Valayamkulam in collaboration with Kerala Social Security Mission at Kiliyil Plaza Auditorium Maranchery, marked a significant step towards enhancing the accessibility of government schemes and benefits for persons with disabilities. Led by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, the event aimed to provide individuals with disabilities a unique identification card. Volunteers offered assistance throughout the smooth registration process, emphasizing the importance of UDID cards in facilitating inclusion and empowerment. Overall, the event successfully heightened awareness about the significance of UDID cards and fostered a more inclusive society.
