On February 28, 2023, as part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TMG Tirur, an astronomy workshop was conducted at Assabah Arts & Science College Valayamkulam. The workshop titled "SKYGAZE 2023" aimed to commemorate Science Day and was organized under the leadership of Dr. Abu Thahir, Head & Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, TMG College, Tirur and Mr. Shahal A.P., Former Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Grace Valley College of Arts And Science, Maravattam, Kadampuzha. The workshop witnessed the active participation of approximately 60 students and 10 staff members. The focus of the workshop was on observing and studying celestial bodies such as Jupiter, Mars, Moon, and stars. Participants attended small classes where they learned about various aspects of the night sky. The collaboration between TMG College, Tirur and Assabah Arts & Science College Valayamkulam, through the MoU allowed for this enriching experience in astronomy education for the attendees. The workshop provided a valuable opportunity for students and staff to explore the wonders of our universe and deepen their understanding of astronomy. Overall, the workshop was a successful event, engaging participants in hands-on learning and promoting scientific curiosity. The program, titled "SKYGAZE 2023" showcased the commitment of TMG College, Tirur and Assabah Arts & Science College Valayamkulam, to fostering scientific knowledge and creating a platform for astronomy enthusiasts to come together.
