The collaborative effort between the Department of Psychology and the Women Development Cell at Assabah Arts and Science College, in conjunction with Government College, Mankada, and the Social Justice Department, Malappuram, resulted in a significant event titled "Gender Talks." Held on January 15, 2024, the session aimed to raise awareness about transgender issues. With an impressive turnout exceeding expectations, 100 students from various departments participated in the program, demonstrating the importance and relevance of the topic. Ms. Amuda Krishanan, a member of the District Transgender Justice Board Malappuram, delivered an enlightening session on transgender awareness, providing valuable insights and fostering understanding among the attendees. The event concluded with a gesture of appreciation extended to Ms. Krishanan and a vote of thanks from Ms. Rose Ann Paulson, the Head of the Department of Psychology, marking the success and impact of the initiative.
