The NSS Unit 240 of Assabah Arts and Science College, Valayamkulam, proudly organized the 76th Republic Day celebration on January 26, 2025. The event aimed to honor India’s rich constitutional legacy and instill patriotism among students while promoting the values of unity, democracy, and service. The program included a flag- hoisting ceremony, speeches, and a sweets distribution drive to mark the occasion with joy and solidarity.

The event commenced at 8:30 AM with the hoisting of the national flag by the college principal, accompanied by NSS Program Officers and faculty members. The National Anthem was sung by all attendees, filling the atmosphere with patriotic spirit. NSS volunteers delivered speeches on the significance of Republic Day, highlighting the Indian Constitution, fundamental rights, and duties.

As a token of joy and unity, NSS volunteers distributed sweets among students, faculty members, and staff. The initiative aimed to spread the message of harmony, inclusivity, and collective celebration. NSS volunteers took a pledge to uphold the principles of democracy, equality, and social justice, reaffirming their commitment to service and national progress.
