1. Introduction
CUTSCAPE was organized as a video editing workshop in connection with International Youth Day. The
programme was designed to provide students with practical exposure to the fundamentals of video editing
and to encourage creativity in producing engaging digital content.

2. Objectives of the Workshop
* Introduce students to the basic concepts and workflow of video editing.
* Develop practical skills in cutting, arranging and transitioning between video clips.
* Provide an understanding of audio and music editing for digital videos.
* Encourage students to create short-form content such as reels and short videos.
* Promote creativity, digital communication and responsible use of media tools.
3. Inauguration
The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. Mohamed Koya MN. The inauguration marked the beginning of the
hands-on learning session and highlighted the importance of developing contemporary digital-media skills
among students.

5. Student Facilitators
The workshop was conducted by second-year BCA students Muhammed Shaheem, Jasim Mubarak and

6. Expected Learning Outcomes
By the end of the workshop, students were expected to gain a basic understanding of video-editing
workflows, apply simple cuts and transitions, work with audio elements, and develop ideas for short-form
digital videos. The programme also aimed to build confidence in using creative digital tools for academic
and personal projects.
7. Conclusion
CUTSCAPE served as a focused platform for introducing students to video editing and short-form digital
content creation. Conducted as part of the International Youth Day observance, the programme combined
creativity with practical technology skills. The initiative reflects the institution's efforts to encourage students
to explore digital tools, collaborate through peer learning and develop skills relevant to contemporary
communication.
