DETECTION OF ADULTERATION IN COMMON FOODS,DART METHOD 

The Nutrition Club and the PG Department of Food Science & Technology of Assabah Arts and Science College jointly organized a programme on “Detection of Adulteration in Common Foods – DART Method.” The programme aimed to create awareness about food adulteration and the importance of ensuring food quality and safety.The programme was inaugurated by Prof. Mohammed Koya MN, Principal, Assabah Arts and Science College. Ms. Gopika Gopi, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Food Science & Technology, served as the Resource Person. She provided an informative session on the DART (Detect Adulteration with Rapid Test) method, explaining simple and rapid techniques for detecting common adulterants in food.The seminar was informative and engaging, providing the participants with valuable practical knowledge about food adulteration and its detection. The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Shabna Kaliyath, Nutrition Club CoordinatorThe programme was successfully conducted and served as a valuable initiative to promote awareness of food safety and responsible food consumption.
