DOCUMENTARY “THE TRIBAL MESSIAH”
Janjatiya Gaurav Divas is an annual event dedicated to honoring and celebrating the rich cultural heritage, history and contributions of India’s tribal communities. Every year on November 15th, Janjatiya Gaurav Divas is celebrated to honor the contributions of these communities, especially in India’s freedom struggle. The day marks the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, a tribal leader and freedom fighter, whose legacy continues to inspire. This year, to complement the celebrations, a documentary-“The Tribal Messiah” was organized with the goal of in-depth exploration of the efforts and achievements of individuals and communities dedicated to promoting and preserving the cultural heritage, traditions, and values of indigenous and tribal groups around the world.

The documentary took place on 21-11-2024 at Conference Hall, Assabah arts and science college,Valayamkulam and was attended by the students of first semester BCA.The documentary was conducted on the theme-“The Tribal Messiah”. Leadership of Bhagwan Birsa Munda within tribal communities is explored in the documentary, showcasing how these leaders emerge, guide their people, and foster a sense of unity. The importance of mentorship, community gatherings, and youth involvement in cultural education is emphasized as crucial to sustaining tribal identity.
