The Women's Development Cell (WDC) of Assabah organized a "Self Defence Training for Girls" on March 18, 2024, in honor of International Women's Day. The event, led by WDC Convenor Shajitha V and presided over by Principal Mohammed Koya M N, aimed to equip female students with essential self-defence skills. Muhammedunni Haji, General Secretary of Assabah, inaugurated the ceremony, with felicitations from dignitaries including Ashraf P P, President of Assabah, Nusaiba Nadran, College Union Chairperson, and Jisha M K, WDC Joint Convenor. Chief guest Nasreen PV delivered a lecture on the significance of International Women's Day, followed by effective self-defence training. Bafeesha, WDC President, expressed gratitude to participants. The event facilitated meaningful dialogue on women's safety and empowerment, fostering confidence and awareness among attendees. Through collaborative efforts, it underscored the college's commitment to promoting gender equality and personal empowerment.
