Enlightening Perspectives: Ozone Day Seminar at Assabah College
On September 15, 2023, the PG Department of Physics and the Science Club orchestrated a seminar presentation in honor of Ozone Day at the College Conference Hall. This event provided an enlightening platform to raise awareness about ozone depletion and its environmental repercussions. Mr. Ranjuraj K, from the Department of Physics and the Coordinator of the Science Club, commenced the seminar with a warm welcome speech, setting the tone for the day's proceedings. The seminar was inaugurated by the college's Principal, Prof. Muhamed Koya M N, emphasizing the significance of Ozone Day and education's pivotal role in addressing environmental challenges. Following the inauguration, Mr. Vibitha, the Head of the Department of Geology and Vice President of the Science Club, delivered a Presidential Address, offering valuable insights into the geological aspects of ozone depletion within the broader environmental context. Dr. Nishanth T, an Assistant Professor from Sree Krishna College, Guruvayur, skillfully presented the seminar, providing informative and engaging insights into the science behind ozone depletion and its consequences. An interactive session facilitated discussions and questions with Dr. Nishanth, fostering deeper understanding among the participants. The seminar concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Irfana, a 3rd-semester MSc Physics student, expressing gratitude to all contributors for their invaluable contributions to the event's success.
