The World Environment Day program organized by the NSS 240 Unit of Assabah Arts and Science College on June 5th, 2023, proved to be a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on participants. Led by College Principal M.N Mohammad Koya, who inaugurated the event by planting a tree on the college campus, and coordinated by NSS programme officer Rajesh Kannan, the program aimed to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable practices. Focused on the theme of "Ecosystem Restoration," the event effectively conveyed the importance of preserving and restoring ecosystems for a sustainable future. As a result of the program, participants, including students and faculty members, gained a deeper understanding of environmental conservation and expressed enthusiasm for actively engaging in future initiatives. Many students were inspired to join the NSS and contribute to environmental conservation efforts, indicating a tangible shift towards fostering a culture of environmental stewardship within the college community.
