ESSAY COMPETITION ON DRUG ABUSE AWARENESS

In commemoration of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the NSS Unit 240 and Anti-Narcotics Cell organized an essay writing competition as part of the NASHA MUKT BHARAT ABHIYAAN, a national movement aimed at creating a drug-free India. The event sought to actively engage students in a thoughtful exploration of the theme "Drug Abuse Prevention and Awareness." Participants were encouraged to express their views on the detrimental impact of drug abuse on individuals, families, and society, while also suggesting effective strategies for prevention and control. The competition provided a platform for young minds to critically reflect on the social, psychological, and health-related consequences of drug addiction. In doing so, it emphasized the importance of education and awareness as key tools in combating this growing societal issue. Through their essays, participants effectively conveyed the message that collective action and individual responsibility are crucial in the fight against drug abuse, reinforcing the idea that a united effort can lead to a safer and healthier community.
