The Department of Computer Science and Applications recently conducted a streaming event focused on the "Chandrayaan-3" mission, which took place on July 14, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Conference Hall of Assabah Arts and Science College, Valayamkulam. Akash Manikandan, a fifth-semester BCA student, delivered a comprehensive lecture on this significant mission. The event commenced with a welcoming address by Assistant Professor Subi K. The session was presided over by Professor M.N. Koya, the Principal, and other members of the management.
During the lecture, Mr. Akash Manikandan shared insights into the lunar expedition, highlighting Chandrayaan-3 as a follow-up mission to Chandrayaan-2. The objectives of Chandrayaan-3 include demonstrating a safe and soft landing on the lunar surface, lunar roving, and conducting in-situ scientific experiments. He discussed the setbacks faced by Chandrayaan-2, specifically the failure during its lunar phase in 2019 when the lander 'Vikram' encountered issues with its braking system, resulting in a crash on the Moon's surface.
The audience, comprising students, teachers, and management members, responded positively to the event. The team expressed gratitude to everyone for their active participation. Towards the end of the session, Mrs. Subi K, a faculty member of the Department of Computer Science
