The PG Department of Food Science & Technology, Assabah Arts and Science College, Valayamkulam, organized a seminar on “Food Safety & HACCP” on 28 July 2026 (Tuesday) at the Conference Hall. The event was conducted under the monitoring of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).The seminar was inaugurated by Prof. Mohammed Koya, Principal of Assabah Arts and Science College. The session featured Ms. Ayisha Saifal, Director – Learning & Development Department, Rukn Al Meerifah Quality and Standardization Consultants, Dubai, as the resource person. She shared her expertise on food safety standards and the importance of implementing HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) in the food industry.The programme aimed to enhance students’ understanding of food safety regulations, quality assurance practices, and preventive measures to ensure safe food production. The session was informative and interactive, enabling participants to gain practical knowledge about maintaining food quality and complying with international food safety standards.
