The Film Club, Assabah Arts and Science College, Valayamkulam, organized “Frames of Freedom: A Cinematic Tribute to India’s Freedom Fighters” as part of the Independence Day observance on 10 August 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Seminar Hall, Geology Block.

The programme was inaugurated by Prof. Mohamed Koya M. N., Principal of the College. Students Fida Nasreen, Rehana, Vinayak, and Nafeesa Selga paid tribute to and remembered the contributions and sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters. This was followed by a documentary screening depicting the stories and struggles of the freedom fighters.

The programme provided students with an opportunity to learn about India’s freedom struggle through cinema and to reflect on the values of patriotism, sacrifice, and national responsibility.
