As part of GST Day 2026, the Commerce Club, PG Department of Commerce, and Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) of Assabah Arts and Science College jointly organized a GST awareness programme on 1 July 2026.
The programme was inaugurated by Captain Prof. Mohammed Koya M. N., Principal of the college.
The keynote session on "Impact of GST on Business and Consumers" was handled by Mr. Harisuthan K. B., Assistant Professor, PG Department of Commerce and University Examination Superintendent. He explained the history, objectives, benefits, and importance of GST, with special focus on its impact on businesses, consumers, and the digital tax system.
