On August 15, 2023, the NSS 240 Unit volunteers of Assabah Arts and Science College, Valayamkulam, orchestrated a vibrant celebration in honor of India's Independence Day. Led by NSS program officer Abdul Rahman.P, the event commenced with the hoisting of the national flag in the college courtyard, symbolizing reverence for the nation's freedom struggle. The presence of NSS volunteers alongside esteemed faculty members and college staff underscored the collective spirit of patriotism and gratitude towards the sacrifices of freedom fighters. Subsequently, the NSS volunteers actively participated in the Independence Day celebrations organized by Alamcode Panchayat, demonstrating solidarity with the larger community. As Alamcode Panchayat President KV Shaheer hoisted the flag at Ward 11 Mankulam premises, the joint Independence Day procession led by Kudumbashree workers and NSS volunteers further amplified the spirit of unity and national pride, commemorating India's journey towards sovereignty and celebrating its rich cultural heritage.
