The Department of Food Science and Technology students,Assabah Arts and Science College, Valayamkulam, actively participated in “Zaiqa”, an intercollegiate food fest organized by Malabar College of Commerce and Science, Manoor, on January 29, 2025.

A total of 17 students represented the department at the event. The participants included 13 students from the first-year UG class, one student from the second-year UG class, one student from the third-year UG class, and two students from the first-year PG programme.

The students enthusiastically took part in various competitions, showcasing their knowledge, creativity, and technical skills. Their performance was commendable, as they secured first prizes in the Quiz and Spot Reel events and received cash awards.

The fest served as a valuable platform for experiential learning, enabling students to apply theoretical knowledge in a competitive environment. It also strengthened teamwork, confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills among the participants. Overall, the event significantly contributed to the academic enrichment and professional development of the students.
