On September 27, 2023, the Department of Psychology and the Department of Food Technology collaborated to organize an extension program following the successful Alzheimer's Day Seminar. The aim was to further engage the community and continue discussions about Alzheimer's disease. The program, held in the conference hall, targeted students from the departments of food technology, geology, and psychology. The seminar featured two sessions led by experts from each department. The first session, led by Assistant Professor Lidiya Silvester from the Department of Psychology, delved into various aspects of Alzheimer's disease, including early detection, caregiving strategies, and memory-related exercises. The second session, led by Assistant Professor Rizwana Nasrin from the Department of Food Technology, focused on the relationship between Alzheimer's and food, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a healthy diet. The extension program successfully bridged disciplines to raise awareness and provide ongoing support and education regarding Alzheimer's disease.
