On December 20, 2022, the Geology Club organized a dynamic Live Sketch Competition, designed to celebrate creativity and artistic expression within the context of geological themes. This competition provided a unique platform for students to exhibit their artistic talents while integrating geological concepts into their sketches. The overarching aim was to encourage interdisciplinary thinking, allowing participants to bring a fresh perspective to the visual representation of natural phenomena. Successfully achieving its objectives, the Live Sketch Competition highlighted not only the creative prowess of the participants but also underscored the intrinsic connection between science and art. Dhaniya U.M., a sixth-semester BSc Geology student, won the first prize, further emphasizing the event's success. This event exemplified the Geology Department's commitment to promoting a holistic approach to geological education, fostering a well-rounded skill set among its students. The department expresses its intent to continue organizing such interdisciplinary activities, nurturing a comprehensive understanding of geology while encouraging artistic expression within its student community.
