OCEAN DAY CELEBRATION

On June 8, 2024, the Department of Geology, the Postgraduate Department of Physics and Nature club jointly organized a quiz competition in celebration of Ocean Day. This event aimed to raise awareness about ocean conservation and educate students on various aspects related to marine science.

The primary objective of the quiz competition was to enhance students' knowledge about the oceans, their significance, and the pressing environmental issues affecting them. This initiative was part of the departments' commitment to fostering a deeper understanding of marine ecosystems among students.

The quiz was conducted online, allowing participants to join from the comfort of their homes or other convenient locations. The competition consisted of several rounds, each focusing on different themes related to oceanography, marine biology, and environmental conservation. The questions ranged from basic concepts to advanced topics, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of the participants' knowledge.

A total of 25 students from various science disciplines enthusiastically participated in the competition.
