The Department of Psychology, Assabah Arts and Science College, Valayankulam, organized an Old Age Home Visit at Deenabandhu Old Age Home ,Akkikavu on 28 September 2026 at 9:30 AM. The programme was attended by 24 students from the 2nd and 3rd year Psychology classes, along with Ms. Nivya Vijayan, Head of the Department of Psychology, and Mr. Javahir V. P., faculty member. The visit aimed to promote empathy, care, respect, and emotional well-being among the elderly. The students interacted with the residents, engaged in meaningful conversations, and spent quality time with them, creating moments of companionship and happiness. The programme provided the students with an opportunity to understand the emotional and social needs of older adults and emphasized the importance of kindness, dignity, and support towards the elderly.
