The Onam Fair 26, organized by the Entrepreneurship Development (ED) Club of Assabah Arts and Science College, Valayamkulam, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and monitored by IQAC, was inaugurated by the Management Committee on 19 August 2026 at the Seminar Hall of the college.
The programme commenced at 10.00 a.m. with a warm welcome to the management committee members, faculty members and students. The inauguration marked the beginning of the Onam Fair, which was organized to celebrate the spirit and traditions of Onam while encouraging entrepreneurial skills, creativity and student participation.
The Management Committee members inaugurated the fair and appreciated the initiatives of the ED Club in providing students with opportunities to develop entrepreneurial abilities through practical activities. Various products and traditional items were displayed and made available at the fair, creating an interactive platform for students to showcase their talents and entrepreneurial ideas.
The fair also aimed to promote traditional products, support budding entrepreneurs and create awareness about sustainable and locally made products. The active participation of students and staff contributed to the success of the programme.
The programme continued from 10.00 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. and concluded successfully. The Onam Fair 26 served as a meaningful platform for combining tradition, entrepreneurship, innovation and student empowerment.
