The Orientation and Registration of YIP (Young Innovators Programme) workshop was organized on 16 September 2026 at the Seminar Hall of Assabah Arts and Science College, Valayamkulam, in association with MTM College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Veliyamkode. The programme was conducted in collaboration with the PG Department of Commerce and Department of Management and was monitored by IQAC.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Sreeja T, YIP Coordinator, who welcomed the Principal, resource persons, faculty members and students. The workshop was formally inaugurated by Capt. Prof. Mohamed Koya M.N., Principal, Assabah Arts and Science College. The interactive sessions were handled by Haifa, Biji M.J., and Fathima Sana C.P., S3 BBA students of MTM College, who introduced the participants to the objectives, activities and opportunities of YIP.
The workshop focused on developing creativity, innovation and problem-solving skills among students. The sessions encouraged students to think differently, identify real-life problems, develop innovative ideas and actively participate in YIP activities. Students were also guided on the YIP registration process and submission of innovative ideas. The interactive nature of the sessions created enthusiasm among the participants and encouraged them to share their ideas and explore their innovative potential.
The programme concluded successfully with students gaining a better understanding of YIP, innovation and idea development. The workshop motivated the participants to actively engage in YIP activities and contribute innovative solutions to real-life challenges.
