PG Department of Commerce, in collaboration with the Unarvu Counselling Centre and IQAC, Assabah Arts and Science College, Valayamkulam, organized a Parents’ Meeting on the theme “Pathway to Excellence” on 2 July 2026 at 1:30 PM in the College Conference Hall.The programme was inaugurated by Capt. Prof. Mohamed Koya M. N., Principal of the college.The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Shalini C. A., Head of the Department of Commerce. Ms. Shini P. N., Class Tutor, briefed the parents on students’ academic progress, attendance, and responsibilities. Ms. Sushama K., FYUGP Coordinator, provided an orientation on the FYUGP curriculum and academic framework. Ms. Reshma N. K., Coordinator, B.Com Co-operation, addressed the gathering on the importance of parent–institution collaboration in supporting students’ academic and personal development.The resource session on “Mental Health and Parent–Student Bonding” was delivered by Ms. Afeefa M. K., Psychologist, Unarvu Counselling Centre, focusing on emotional well-being, effective communication, and the vital role of parents in nurturing students’ holistic development.The programme provided a valuable platform for interaction between parents, students, and faculty members, strengthening collaboration between the institution and families. Ms. Najmath P. V., Mentor, was also present and interacted with the parents and students. The programme concluded successfully with the active participation of parents, students, and faculty members.
