The Janjatiya Gaurav Divas (Indigenous People’s Pride Day) was celebrated on 26/11/2024 at computer Lab, Assabah arts and science college, Valayamkulam with a special presentation titled Bridging Traditions and Transformations.” This day honors the cultural heritage, struggles, and contributions of indigenous communities in India. The presentation aimed to explore the intersection of traditional indigenous customs with contemporary changes, discussing how these communities are adapting while preserving their identity.

Overview of the Presentation: The presentation was led by Aysha Minha(second year B.Sc student,Assabah arts and science college, Valayamkulam) and Nandana P V (second year B.Sc student,Assabah arts and science college, Valayamkulam). Second year UG students are particated in the programme.The presentation focused on the theme of Bridging Traditions and Transformations, aiming to explore how indigenous traditions are being preserved amidst rapid socio-economic changes. Key issues discussed included the importance of protecting indigenous languages and customs, the role of technology in education, and real-life examples of indigenous communities adapting to modern challenges without losing their cultural identity.
