The Department of Computer Science, in association with the IT Club, organized an Outreach Program titled “Protecting Children’s Health in the Mobile Era” on 25th June 2026 at Anganwadi Chiyanoor. The program was conducted with the objective of creating awareness among Anganwadi parents about the impact of mobile device usage on children's health and development.
The session was led by Ms. Fahina and Ms. Shahanase, Assistant Professors, who served as the resource persons. They provided valuable guidance on promoting healthy digital habits among children and highlighted the importance of parental involvement in managing children's screen usage. The speakers discussed practical strategies to ensure a balanced and healthy lifestyle in the digital age.
The session covered important topics such as maintaining healthy screen time, improving sleep quality, protecting children's eyesight, encouraging physical activity, and practicing positive parenting in the digital era. The resource persons emphasized the need for responsible technology use and the role of parents in fostering healthy habits among children.
