SELF-CARE,CAREGIVER WELL-BEING & PALLIATIVE CARE

The Department of Psychology in collaboration with SIP (Student Initiative in Palliative Care), Assabah Arts and Science College, successfully organized an Awareness Session on Self-Care, Caregiver Well-being and Palliative Care on 28 July 2026 at 10:30 AM in the Geology Library Hall. The programme was inaugurated by Capt. Prof. Mohammed Koya M. N., Principal. The resource person, Ms. Shifana K. H., Consultant Psychologist and an alumna of Assabah Arts and Science College, delivered an insightful and interactive session highlighting the importance of self-care, caregiver well-being, and the principles of palliative care. The session created awareness about maintaining mental and emotional well-being while caring for others and encouraged active participation and meaningful discussions among the attendees. Around 90 participants attended the programme, making it a successful and informative event. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Nivya Vijayan, Head of the Department of Psychology
