SEMINAR ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHT

The seminar was a collaborative effort between the PG Department of Commerce and Management Studies, the IIC (Institution’s Innovation Council), and the Library Council, coinciding with Reading Week. The event was presided over by College Principal Prof. Muhammad Koya MN. Key speakers included Juby CK, Head of the Commerce Department; Sreeja T, IIC Convener; and Shaukat Ali Khan, the Librarian.

               The focus of the seminar was on Intellectual Property Rights, covering important laws related to trademarks, patents, copyrights, and their implications for various forms of creative work such as music, literature, art, ideas, designs, and books. The session was conducted by Dr. Salini C A, Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce. Following the seminar, a book review session was held for the students, providing them with additional insights and critical perspectives on the subject matter.
