SHANTHI BAVAN VISIT AND FUND COLLECTION

On July 6, 2024, the NSS Unit 240 and Arike SIP of Assabah Arts and Science College, Valayamkulam, undertook a humanitarian visit to Shanthi Bhavanam, an orphanage dedicated to providing care and support to underprivileged children. This visit was aimed at extending financial assistance and moral support to the institution in its noble mission.

During the visit, the team interacted with the children, engaging them in various activities to bring joy and encouragement. The volunteers also spent time understanding the daily challenges faced by the orphanage and its residents. The visit was marked by warm conversations, cultural activities, and moments of shared happiness.

As a part of this initiative, a donation of ₹20,000 was made to Shanthi Bhavanam to support their new project of constructing a shelter for children affected by autism. This contribution was intended to aid in the development of a safe and nurturing environment for these children, ensuring they receive the care and support they need.

The management and children of Shanthi Bhavanam expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support and generosity extended by NSS Unit 240 and Arike SIP. The event served as a reminder of the importance of social responsibility and the impact that collective efforts can have on improving lives. The visit concluded with a renewed commitment from the NSS volunteers to continue such initiatives, fostering a spirit of compassion and service within the community.
