WORKSHOP ON CYBER SECURITY AND ETHICAL HACKING

On September 1, 2023, the Department of Computer Science and Applications, in collaboration with TECHBYHEART, organized a workshop on "Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking" in the computer lab, featuring Mr. Rohith N, a Cyber Security Analyst, as the resource person. The workshop was attended by final-year BCA and CS students and was monitored by IQAC. Mr. Rohith N covered various topics including cybercrime, cyber laws, hacking techniques, spamming, Android hacking, and the pros and cons of social media. He demonstrated tools involved in hacking and illustrated how DDOS attacks and spamming attacks are carried out. Using real-life examples, he highlighted the impacts of hacking and other cybercrimes, cautioning students and providing them with measures to safeguard against such threats. Overall, the session proved to be useful and informative, offering students exposure to topics beyond their curriculum and equipping them with valuable knowledge in cyber security.
