The Department of Computer Applications, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Cyber Club, Assabah Arts and Science College, Valayamkulam, organized a Workshop on Hardware Assembling on 19 August 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Computer Lab of the college.

The workshop was organized with the objective of providing students with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in computer hardware. The programme focused on helping participants understand the major components of a computer system, their functions, and the basic procedures involved in assembling computer hardware.

The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. MN Mohamed Koya. His presence and inaugural address motivated the students to develop practical and technical skills alongside their academic learning.

Mr. Muhammed Shibin, a 5th Semester BCA student of Assabah Arts and Science College, Valayamkulam, served as the Resource Person. He provided practical guidance on computer hardware components and demonstrated the process of assembling and understanding various components of a computer system.

The hands-on nature of the workshop enabled students to gain practical exposure to real computer components. The participants learned about hardware identification, component installation, basic assembly procedures, and the importance of handling computer components carefully. The session also encouraged students to develop technical confidence and problem-solving skills.

The workshop emphasized four key areas: **learning, assembling, understanding, and empowering**. It successfully combined theoretical understanding with practical experience and provided students with valuable technical skills that can support their academic studies and future career opportunities in the field of computer applications and technology.

The programme was a valuable initiative of the Department of Computer Applications, IIC, and Cyber Club, contributing to the overall skill development and practical learning of the students.
