The LED Repairing and Assembling Workshop, held on December 21, 2023, in the college auditorium and organized by the PG Department of Physics in collaboration with the Science Club, aimed to improve participants' LED repair and assembly skills. Led by Mr. Sabir P. from the EMC of Kerala, the workshop engaged 47 students from various academic levels, fostering a dynamic learning environment. Coordinated by Mr. Anandha Krishnan C, Assistant Professor of the PG Department of Physics, the workshop's success was recognized through certificates issued to all participants, encouraging further skill application and learning.
The workshop, conducted in the Computer Science lab by the PG Department of Physics, focused on hands-on learning with the LaTeX program for scientific and technical writing. Led by Basim M B, students from Ansar Women's College and KV Usthad Pookkaratha gained practical skills in formatting, equations, and document structure, enhancing their scientific writing capabilities. The poster competition held on September 15, 2023, at the conference hall was successful, with six enthusiastic students participating. Prof. Muhamed Koya M N, the Principal, awarded cash prizes generously sponsored by the institution's management, showcasing their commitment to recognizing student talent. Monitored by faculty members, including Mr. Swalih, Annie, and Krishna, the well-organized event provided students a platform to showcase creativity, fostering anticipation for future events.
On September 15, 2023, the PG Department of Physics and the Science Club organized a seminar at the College Conference Hall to mark Ozone Day. The event featured an informative presentation by Dr. Nishanth T on ozone depletion and its consequences, followed by an interactive session. The seminar concluded with a Vote of Thanks from Irfana, expressing gratitude to participants, speakers, and organizers.
The seminar, titled "CHANDRAYAAN 3," organized by the P.G. Department of Physics at Assabah College's Conference Hall on August 23, 2023, at 11:30 am, proved engaging for science students. The presentation, led by two students, provided comprehensive insights into Chandrayaan 3's objectives, technology, and scientific significance. This event not only showcased their expertise but also highlighted the interdisciplinary collaboration and the vital role of space exploration in advancing scientific knowledge.
