Rules of students



GENERAL RULES FOR STUDENTS

1. Uniform and Identity Card: Students must wear their uniform and identity card properly to enter the college campus. Those without a uniform will not be allowed on campus or admitted to class under any circumstances. In emergencies, parents may contact the class teacher in advance to obtain permission for class entry. Identity cards must be worn at all times within the college and in class.
2. Class Schedule: Class hours are from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, consisting of five one-hour periods with a lunch break from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
3. Punctuality and Attendance: Students are expected to arrive on time and attend all periods. Failure to do so will impact their attendance and internal marks. Students with less than 75% attendance will not be allowed to register for university exams unless they apply for attendance condonation.
4. Learning Management System: Students are required to use and regularly update the LMS system (Embase-Pro Suite Mobile application) for tracking attendance, fees, and internal examination marks etc.,
5. Campus Timing: Students must leave the campus by 4:30 PM. Those involved in sports, arts, or other extracurricular activities managed by faculty may stay with their teacher's permission and supervision.
6. Respect: All students must show respect to teachers, non-teaching staff, and fellow students.
7. Property Damage: Activities that cause damage to college property are prohibited. Students found damaging property will be fined to cover the cost of repairs.
8. Harassment and Ragging: Harassment and ragging are strictly forbidden. The college will take strict disciplinary action against those who violate these rules.
9. Political Activities: Political activities such as flags, rallies, dharnas, and slogans are banned on campus as per the High Court of Kerala’s directives. Violations will result in disciplinary action.
10. College Union Elections: College Union elections will be held in parliamentary mode according to university rules and overseen by designated election officials.
11. Dress Code: Students are not permitted to wear T-shirts in college.
12. Fee Payment: Semester fees must be paid on time according to office instructions. Failure to do so will result in removal from the nominal roll and suspension of exam registration.
13. Late Arrival: Students arriving late will not be admitted. In emergencies, contact the class teacher by 9:15
14. Mobile Phones: Mobile phones are strictly prohibited in classrooms.
15. Private Celebrations: Private celebrations are not allowed inside the classroom or on college premises.
16. Classroom Cleanliness: Students should ensure that their classrooms are kept neat and tidy.
17. Drug Abuse: Drug use on campus is strictly prohibited. Students found using intoxicants will face stringent disciplinary actions.
18. Parking: Students with two-wheelers may use college parking facilities only if they comply with RTO regulations.
19. Academic Compliance: Students must adhere to academic rules and regulations, including attendance, assignment submission, seminar presentations, and internal examinations to receive internal marks for their courses.
20. Learning Materials: Students should bring their own textbooks, pens, pencils, notebooks, calculators, and other learning materials.
21. Leave Notification: Students needing leave must inform their class teacher. For leave exceeding three days, permission must be obtained from the Principal via the class teacher. Absence for more than 15 consecutive days without a valid reason will result in removal from the nominal roll.
22. Examination Punctuality: Students must arrive on time for university exams. Any malpractice during exams will result in disciplinary action as per university regulations.
23. Extracurricular Activities: Students participating in arts, sports, etc., must practice during designated times and attend remaining classes. Absences during practice sessions will affect their attendance.
24. University Programs: Students attending university-level programs must do so with permission from the program coordinator, HOD, or class teacher.
25. Color Dust: The use and spraying of colored dust during celebrations are prohibited. Disciplinary action will be taken against those who violate this rule.
