Rules of teachers



RULE AND GUIDELINES FOR TEACHERS

1. College Hours: Teachers are required to be present on campus from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. By 9:20 AM, after the first bell rings, all teachers with first-period classes should be in their respective classrooms.
2. Academic Activities: The time between 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM should be dedicated to NAAC activities and other academic matters.
3. Leave Procedures: Teachers must adhere to the office rules regarding leave, late arrivals, and early departures.
4. Advance Leave: For planned leave, teachers must obtain permission from the Principal through the Head of the Department (HOD).
5. Class Adjustments: Classes scheduled for the day of leave should be adjusted with other teachers in the department.
6. Emergency Leave: For unplanned leave, teachers should promptly inform the HOD, adjust the day’s classes with other teachers, and submit a leave application to the Principal through the HOD the next day.
7. Campus Attire: Upon entering the college, teachers must wear their coat and identity card at all times.
8. Punctuality: Teachers should make every effort to be punctual in attending and leaving classes.
9. Student Dress Code: Students are not allowed to wear T-shirts in class. Students without uniforms should not be permitted to enter the classroom. Teachers should pay special attention to this matter.
10. Mobile Phone Use: Teachers should use mobile phones in class only when absolutely necessary.
11. Minimize Disruption: Mobile phone use within the department should not disrupt other teachers' work.
12. Attendance Records: All teachers must mark attendance immediately after the class in Embase, clear attendance records weekly with the HOD, and get the monthly attendance register signed by the Principal on the last working day of the month.
13. Out Pass Procedure: If teachers need to leave the campus for any reason, they must report to the out pass register in the office before leaving.
14. Internal Assessments: Ensure that all internal examinations, assignments, seminars, and other syllabus-related activities are completed as required. These should be submitted to the Principal and Vice-Principal upon request.
15. Personal Celebrations: No personal celebrations are allowed within the department or classrooms.
16. External Duties: Teachers attending university-mandated valuation camps, internal examiner duties, or other university-related activities must inform the Principal in writing through the HOD.
17. Syllabus and Marks Updates: Teachers should closely monitor and inform students about any changes in the syllabus, mark allocations, and related matters each academic year.
18. Record Keeping: Class teachers must properly maintain all records related to their classes (attendance registers, progress reports, internal mark sheets, university exam results, parent meeting reports, etc.).
19. Discipline Responsibility: Each teacher has a significant responsibility for maintaining overall discipline in the college. Efforts should be made to resolve minor conflicts among students and promptly inform the relevant authorities.
